Mobile court against illegal polythene
Details
On July 19, 2022 (Tuesday) on the basis of secret information, in an operation conducted by the Department of Environment, Sherpur District Office, Sherpur, approximately 667 (six hundred and sixty seven) kgs of banned polythene shopping bags were seized from Boyaraparanpur village of Bhatshala Union No. 7 of Sherpur Sadar Upazila of Sherpur District. 
The operation was conducted under the leadership of Mr. Salauddin Biswas Mahoda, Assistant Commissioner of Sherpur District Administration and learned Executive Magistrate. On the orders of the learned Executive Magistrate, accused Arshad Ali (41), Father: Tamez Uddin, Lachmanpur Nayapara, Sherpur Sadar, absconding accused under Section 15(1) 4(a)(b) for violation of Section 6A of the Bangladesh Environment Protection Act, 1995 (Amended-2010). , a case has been filed against Sherpur Gong in Sherpur Sadar Police Station.

The operation was supervised by Mr. Mohammad Al-Mahmud, assistant director of the Department of Environment, Sherpur District Office and inspector Mr. Nayan Kumar Roy, who served as the plaintiff in the case.
