Mobile court against illegal polythene

Today, July 31, 2022 A.D. Sunday, in Bajitkhila Bazar area of Sherpur Sadar Upazila of Sherpur District, on the initiative of Department of Environment, Sherpur District Office, District Administration, under the leadership of the learned Executive Magistrate of Sherpur, Mr. Salauddin Biswas, a mobile anti-polythene court was conducted. A fine of Rs.2,000/- (two thousand) has been collected by conducting mobile court and seizing polythene from three shops.
Mr. Nayan Kumar Roy, Inspector of Department of Environment, Sherpur District Office, gave the prosecution in the mobile court.
The seized polythene shopping bags have been handed over to the Environment Department for legal disposal. This type of campaign will continue in the future.
